Espoma® Organic Weed Preventer Plus Lawn Food 9-0-0

Espoma Organic Weed Preventer Plus Lawn Food is made from 100% corn gluten meal. This natural formula prevents weed seed establishment while delivering organic nitrogen, promoting a deep green lawn longer than conventional fertilizers.

This product nourishes lawns and inhibits weed growth by preventing root development in seedlings. Safe for lawns, it effectively prevents dandelions, crabgrass, and other common weeds.

For use on:

• Established lawns: Do NOT use when seeding a new lawn or over-seeding.
• Established Gardens: Can be used in vegetable gardens and in and around bedding plants, roses, shrubs and trees with established root systems.

When to use: Apply 2 times per year: Early Spring before weed seeds germinate, & early Fall.

How much to use:

• Lawns: Weed Preventer for lawns: 20 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. covers up to 1,250 sq. ft. Feeding lawns: 10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. covers up to 2,500 sq. ft.
• Gardens: Apply 2 lbs. (6 cups) per 100 sq. ft. 20 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For best results repeat every 4-6 weeks.

How to apply: Apply to a dry lawn that has recently been mowed. Use a drop or broadcast spreader and be certain to overlap slightly to prevent striping. Water lightly after the application if rain is not expected within 24 hours. Established Gardens: Sprinkle evenly over the area. Water lightly after application.
